MANILA, Philippines — Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte expressed confidence that he would be cleared of the drug smuggling charges against him.

"I have always maintained my innocence, and I am confident that the judicial process will clear my name," he said.

Former senator Antonio Trillanes 4th on Wednesday filed a drug smuggling complaint against Duterte and others.
