The landmark Christ the Redeemer monument in Rio wore clothing traditional to another country, a Korean hanbok, for the first time. The hanbok was projected over the statue on Friday (June 7) night.The videomapping event celebrates the opening of the 'Lights of Korea' exhibition, to take place at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) from June 9, and the G20 summit, to take place in November in Brazil.The projection represents the union between the two countries, a statement released by the Christ the Redeemer Sanctuary informed.The projected hanbok was selected with the help of South Korean designer Jin Hee Lee. In a statement released by the Christ the Redeemer Sanctuary, the designer informed the garment's belt showed the colors of the G20 logo.Video by REUTERS
