MANILA, Philippines — FILIPINO-AMERICAN left wing Jason Robertson registered a hat trick as his Dallas Stars defeated the Edmonton Oilers, 5-3, in Game 3 of the National Hockey League (NHL) Western Conference Finals at Rogers Place in Edmonton on Monday (Tuesday in Manila).
After Dallas trailed 2-0 at the end of the first period, Robertson tallied two goals in the early minutes of the second period to tie the game.
At the 9:08 mark of the second period, Wyatt Johnston scored to give Dallas the lead, but Edmonton's Adam Henrique tied at the game anew with less than a minute left in the period.
With his hat trick goal, Robertson gave Dallas the lead again nearly 12 minutes into the third period and defenseman Miro Heiskanen scored on the empty net to seal the victory for the Stars.
Dallas currently leads the series against Edmonton, 2-1.
