EEI Power Corp., a unit of EEI Corp., on Thursday said it had signed a deal with Dagupan Doctors Villaflor Memorial Hospital (DDVMH) for the construction of a solar rooftop system.
The 145.2-kilowatt-peak system will comprise 264 monocrystalline photovoltaic solar panels that are "anticipated to yield an average annual energy output of 183,680 kilowatt-hours," the company said in a disclosure.
Over its 25-year lifespan, the system is estimated to save the hospital "up to P20 million in electricity expenses," it added
EEI Power general manager said the project was aligned with the company's "dedication in providing accessible and cost-effective solutions."
Vivencio Jose Villaflor 3rd, DDVMH hospital and medical director, said the hospital was committed to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
A part of the Mount Grace Hospitals Inc. network, DDVMH is a private 2-hectare,100-bed tertiary hospital in Mayombo District, Dagupan City. It has a team of more than 150 medical consultants and paramedical staff.
EEI Corp. shares were up by 0.57 percent on Thursday at P5.28 each.
