Manila, Philippines: The northeast monsoon or "amihan" is affecting Luzon while the trough of the low pressure area (LPA) spotted outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) will bring rain in Davao Region, the weather agency said on Thursday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that the LPA is not expected to develop into a tropical cyclone.
Weather specialist Benison Estareja said no weather disturbance was monitored forming or entering PAR in the next few days.
The northeast monsoon will bring overcast skies with light rains in Aurora province while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will likely have isolated light rains.
The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
