THE New Era University Young Entrepreneurs Society (NEU-YES) organization partnered with GoNegosyo 3M on Wheels program to mentor aspiring business owners held at Ayala Malls TriNoma on Jan. 20, 2024.
Over 100 NEU-YES student-mentors participated in the GoNegosyo first-launched 3M on Wheels program. They mentored aspiring and existing Filipino business owners to make better decisions toward successful business ventures.
GoNegosyo is the advocacy of the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE), a non-stock, non-profit organization that advocates for a change in mindset and attitude.
It believes Filipinos can address poverty in the country by engaging in entrepreneurship and developing an optimistic, passionate, creative, innovative, resourceful, diligent, and persevering character.
GoNegosyo encourages everyone to take charge and make the most of their resources and abilities by utilizing and transforming these into viable enterprises.
Meanwhile, the NEU Medical Colleges of Medicine (COM), Medical Technology (CMT) Midwifery (CoM), Physical Therapy (CPT), Respiratory Therapy (CRT), and Nursing (CON) held a special worship service at the Iglesia Ni Cristo house of worship, Local Congregation of New Era University, Ecclesiastical District of Central on Jan. 26, 2024.
The special gathering was attended by the Colleges' administrators, faculty, staff, students, and alumni who successfully passed the licensure examinations in 2023.
The year 2023 saw the medical colleges reap the fruits of their determination, by attaining passing rates that are above the national passing rate for their respective licensure examinations.
The COM, CoM and CON achieved 100 percent passing rate in their respective licensure examinations for having all of their alumni-examinees successfully pass their board examinations. CON also earned the distinction of being one of the top-performing schools in the November 2023 Nurse Licensure Examination for NEU.
In a related development, the NEU College of Business Administration (NEU-CBA), in cooperation with the Human Resource Student Society (HRSS) held a seminar titled "DigiHR: Navigating Tomorrow's Workforce - Ascendance of Human Resource in Digital Revolution" at the University Hall on Jan. 27, 2024 with Dr. Abrian Orencia as the resource speaker.
Meanwhile, the NEU General Santos City Branch inaugurated the Academy of Multimedia Studies (AMS) on Jan. 29, 2024.
The lively event showcased compelling presentations, live demos, and insightful discussions. Attendees had the opportunity to closely examine AMS' programs and state-of-the-art equipment, igniting their interest in exploring the cutting-edge facilities.
