MANILA, Philippines: Magnolia's mercurial forward Calvin Abueva and San Miguel Beer big man Moala Tautuaa's wife engaged in a verbal tussle at the end of Game 2 of the PBA Season 48 Commissioner's Cup Finals on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The "Beast", accompanied by his wife Sam, were seen confronting Tautuaa's wife at the arena's hallway shortly after players from both teams started to leave the dugout.
Abueva, who turned 36 on Sunday, was even heard challenging the Filipino-Tongan big man to a fistfight before some PBA staff, and San Miguel consultant Leo Austria intervened to defuse the tension.
Tautuaa's wife Aida posted on her X/Twitter account how Abueva gave her a smirk as she was talking towards the female restroom.
"TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT —Calvin DID NOT physically attack me," Tautuaa's wife Aida wrote on her X account @aida9890. "I had to walk past him to go to the restroom.
"He smirked at me, nodded his head up & down & said, 'yeaaah' laughing. I said, 'wtf is wrong with you' & kept walking. He walked after me and literally got in my face," she added, in her tweet.
Asked to comment on Aida Tautuaa's post, Abueva denied her allegations.
"She passed in front of me while I was waiting for my son, and then she said, 'what the f... are you smiling?" Abueva said in Filipino, in addressing the issue to some members of the press at the venue hallway.
"Why did she have to treat me that way? I was waiting for my wife and then she would treat me that way?" added the flamboyant Magnolia forward.
Sunday night was a forgettable one for Abueva, who would have wanted to celebrate his 36th birthday with a win.
Instead, the Beermen bullied the Hotshots after registering a runaway 109-85 romp in Game 2 to grab a 2-0 championship series lead.
Abueva finished with just three points and seven rebounds. The energetic Magnolia forward missed six of his seven attempts from the field, and was assessed a deliberate foul during one play against Tautuaa in the fourth period.
Abueva, who is gunning for his first PBA title with Magnolia, was also called for a technical foul, along with San Miguel coach Jorge Gallent as both engaged in a verbal spat.
With the Hotshots down in an 0-2 hole, Magnolia is facing a must-win this Wednesday as Game 3 shifts to the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
