Russia and Azerbaijan have agreed to enhance the Azerbaijan route of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), as announced during President Vladimir Putin's visit to Baku. This development aims to increase trade volume between Russia and India. Azerbaijan is modernizing its railway infrastructure to boost the corridor's capacity, potentially handling up to 30 million tonnes of cargo annually.
