SpiceJet settles row with EDC, gets ownership of 13 planes

SpiceJet has reached a $22.5 million settlement with Export Development Canada, resolving a $90.8 million dispute. This agreement gives SpiceJet full ownership of 13 Bombardier Q400 aircraft and saves the airline $68.3 million in operational costs. The settlement strengthens SpiceJet's financial standing and allows the airline to focus on returning the Q400s to service, particularly on regional and UDAN routes.
