Coal India Ltd (CIL) reported an 11.9% decline in coal production in August, producing 46.1 million tonnes compared to 52.3 million tonnes in August last year. Despite this, production from April to August increased to 290.4 million tonnes from 281.5 million tonnes in the previous year.
