Samajwadi Party released a candidate list for six out of ten Uttar Pradesh assembly by-election seats. They have fielded Tej Pratap Yadav from Karhal and given tickets to Naseem Solanki, Mustafa Siddiqui, Ajit Prasad, Shobhawai Verma, and Jyodi Bind. The bypolls, set for later this year, are mostly due to MLAs being elected to the Lok Sabha.
