Mukesh Sahni of the VIP party believes that the Nishad community is not supporting him in big numbers, which is why his party did not win a single seat in Bihar's Lok Sabha election. Sahni's party fought three Lok Sabha seats in Bihar as part of the INDIA alliance. Regardless, Sahni remains optimistic about the assembly elections next year. To prove his Nishad credentials, Sahni held a party meeting on a Ganga river trip and served two big Katla fish measuring 43 kg.
