Nearly a dozen Lok Sabha candidates seek EVM-VVPAT check

By Economic Times - a week ago
The Election Commission of India has received fewer than ten requests from candidates who lost in the recent Lok Sabha elections for verification of electronic voting machine-voter verifiable paper audit trail (EVM-VVPAT) units. Requests have come from various parties, including BJP's Sujay Radhakrishna Vikhepatil from Ahmednagar and BJD's Dipali Das from Jharsuguda. Most requests are for verification of 1-3 EVM-VVPAT units, with very few seeking more.
