India's milk production reached a record 239.30 million tonnes in 2023-24. This is a 4% increase. Per capita milk availability rose to 471 grams per day. The government celebrated National Milk Day. The focus is on bringing dairy farmers into the organized sector. The government aims to eradicate livestock diseases by 2030. This will boost dairy exports.
