FSSAI introduces bigger font & bold letters for nutrition labels of sugar, salt, & saturated fat

By Economic Times - 3 months ago
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has approved a new proposal requiring packaged food items to display nutritional information such as total sugar, salt, and saturated fat in bold letters and larger font sizes on their labels. This decision supersedes the previously proposed Front of Package Labelling (FoPL) Regulations in India for ultra-processed foods.
