Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw apprised on Friday that around 2,500 new general coaches are being manufactured under a special drive, and approval for manufacturing another 10,000 such coaches has been granted. The initiative by the central government, he said, focuses on augmenting railway infrastructure across the country.
