Indian Railways achieved a milestone with a successful high-speed trial on the Chenab Bridge, the world’s highest railway bridge in Jammu and Kashmir. This marks progress towards starting rail operations on the Reasi-Baramulla route. The trial covered a 46-km electrified section, including nine tunnels, demonstrating technological advancements. The Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project aims to integrate Kashmir with national rail networks, enhancing connectivity and economic prospects.
