New cars are getting too big for Britain's roads - average motor has grown 1cm wider every two years

A new study has found that the average width of new cars sold in the UK has expanded to 180.3cm in the first half of 2023, up from 177.8cm in 2018. This means they're too fat for on-street parking bays.
