The AAP-led Punjab government has strongly opposed the Centre's reported move to allot land in Chandigarh to Haryana for an assembly building. Punjab's Finance Minister asserted that Chandigarh belongs to Punjab and they won't cede any land, while Haryana's Chief Minister argued that Haryana has equal rights to Chandigarh and criticized Punjab for politicizing the issue.
