Waqf properties row: JPC Chairman receives over 500 petitions from aggrieved farmers in Karnataka

Farmers in Karnataka's northern districts submitted over 500 petitions to Jagdambika Pal, Chairman of the Joint Committee of Parliament on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, alleging their lands were wrongly classified as Waqf properties. Pal, joined by BJP MP Tejasvi Surya, assured the farmers their concerns would be addressed. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar criticized the visit as politically motivated.
