Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj party, despite claims of fielding only 'clean image' candidates, has three out of four by-poll candidates facing serious criminal charges. These charges include kidnapping, attempt to murder, extortion, theft, and assault. All candidates have disclosed their criminal cases in their affidavits to the Election Commission. The party's national spokesperson defended the candidates, attributing the cases to attacks on their reputation.
