CM Omar Abdullah demands J&K statehood in 1st Cabinet meet

Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah passed a resolution at the first Cabinet meeting for the restoration of statehood. Opposition parties criticized the move for not addressing Article 370. Abdullah plans to present the resolution to the prime minister. Critics call it a setback and a betrayal of the election promises made by the National Conference.
