The BJP is planning to highlight the 50th anniversary of the Emergency to challenge Congress before the upcoming Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections. This plan was discussed in a meeting of NDA chief ministers in Chandigarh, attended by senior leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of BJP-led states.
