The JD(U) rejected Akhilesh Yadav's call for Nitish Kumar to leave the BJP-led NDA. Akhilesh accused the BJP of stopping him from honoring Jayaprakash Narayan. JD(U) spokesman Rajiv Ranjan Prasad criticized Yadav for invoking Narayan's legacy and stated their alliance with BJP is firm. Prasad also condemned Congress for endorsing Yadav's statement.
