Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged voters in Washim and Thane to prevent the Congress from coming to power. He accused the Congress of wanting to keep the country weak and poor and blamed them for promoting societal division. Modi emphasised that Congress and its allies impede development and should be kept out of power.
