Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee's office has filed a police complaint against Kalicharan Bandopadhyay, an officer on special duty to Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim, accusing him of extorting money in Banerjee's name. The complaint was lodged at Shakespeare Sarani Police Station. Mayor Hakim stated he will investigate the matter, while opposition parties highlighted corruption concerns.
