The ego can manifest as judgment, a desire for control, fear of the unknown, and attachment to identity and possessions. It often leads to insecurity and feelings of superiority or inferiority, as well as a reluctance to let go. However, rather than viewing the ego as an enemy, it should be seen as a teacher.
