The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has received approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs to prosecute former railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav in a land-for-job scam. The agency is still seeking prosecution sanctions for over 30 other accused individuals and has requested an additional 15 days to obtain these.
