Sitaram Yechury, a CPI(M) politburo member, requested books by Swami Vivekananda for a speech in Kerala. Despite being an atheist communist, Yechury studied Indian philosophy and respected cultural influences. Known for his smoking habit and love for fine dining, he upheld Indian pluralism and was respected across political lines.
