Former Delhi Minister and AAP MLA Rajendra Pal Gautam has joined Congress in the presence of senior party leaders. Gautam, who held various portfolios in the Delhi cabinet, resigned in October 2022 following a controversy over his participation in an event where attendees pledged to join Buddhism and reject Hindu gods. The incident drew criticism from BJP during the Gujarat election campaign.
