Fissures have emerged in Maharashtra's ruling Mahayuti alliance over the 'Ladki Bahin Yojana'. Shiv Sena minister Shambhuraj Desai criticized NCP leader Ajit Pawar for omitting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's name from promotional materials. The scheme offers Rs 1,500 per month to eligible women. Desai accused Pawar of hijacking the scheme ahead of the assembly elections likely in November.
