The ongoing dispute between Delhi's mayor and lieutenant governor over MCD elections had little impact on the voting process. The BJP secured victories in seven out of twelve zones, while AAP won in five. Despite objections from Mayor Shelly Oberoi, the elections proceeded smoothly under the supervision of deputy commissioners.
