The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of co-opting protests related to the rape and murder of a junior doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital. TMC MP Saket Gokhale claimed that the ongoing junior doctors' strike has led to the death of seven patients, including a newborn, and alleged that the BJP is using the situation to further its political agenda despite a Supreme Court directive to end the strike.
