Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced the expansion of the Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme to cover 2.5 crore women. The scheme, which provides monthly financial assistance to women, has already seen funds transferred to 1.7 crore beneficiaries. The second phase launched at Reshimbagh ground will cover more women, targeting an additional 52 lakh. Opposition criticism was addressed, with Shinde emphasizing the integrity and impact of the scheme.
