West Bengal failed to implement Centre's schemes to deal with crimes against women: WCD minister

Union minister Annapurna Devi has criticized the Mamata Banerjee government, alleging that the situation of women in West Bengal is “deteriorating.” The remarks came amid public outrage over the rape of a doctor in the state. Devi accused the state government of failing to implement central government schemes including fast track courts and emergency helplines to address crimes against women.
