Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has urged not to politicise the collapse of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue in Sindhudurg district. A thorough investigation is underway, and the Navy is involved in the probe. The statue, unveiled last year, collapsed on Monday afternoon. Fadnavis assured a new statue will be erected and dismissed corruption allegations from the opposition.
