Karnataka High Court granted Chief Minister Siddaramaiah temporary relief in a case of alleged illegal plot allotment to his wife. The court suspended a lower court’s actions until the next hearing on August 29. The case stems from the allotment of 14 plots in Mysuru. Siddaramaiah challenged the Governor’s permission for prosecution, arguing it could disrupt state governance. Both BJP and Congress held protests, and the CM has scheduled a Congress Legislature Party meeting on August 22 to address the issue.
