Senior Congress leader K C Venugopal has been appointed as the head of the Parliament's Public Accounts Committee (PAC), which monitors government expenditure, according to the Lok Sabha Secretariat. The announcement also included the formation of four other parliamentary panels, with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla constituting the Estimates and Public Undertakings committees to be chaired by BJP leaders.
