BJP to hold series of protest events over 'collapse' of law and order

By Economic Times - 3 months ago
West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar announced a series of statewide protests starting Friday, citing the alleged breakdown of law and order in the state and demanding Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's resignation. The protests include a sit-in near RG Kar Medical College & Hospital, where Majumdar will participate, and candle marches by women near the CM's residence. The BJP, along with other political parties, is calling for road blockades and strikes in response to the recent vandalism at RG Kar Hospital, with CPI-M leaders accusing the ruling Trinamool Congress of orchestrating the attack.
