After 17 months in Tihar Jail, AAP leader Manish Sisodia was released on August 9. Following his release, he visited the Raj Ghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and offered prayers at a Hanuman temple. Sisodia credited his freedom to the Constitution and expressed confidence that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, also jailed in the same case, would be released soon. He shared a moment with his wife over tea, marking it as his "first tea of an independent morning.
