Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the Trinamool government, stating that other states would not want to follow West Bengal's approach to fighting Left Wing Extremism. This came after Trinamool MP Saugata Rai highlighted the state's success in dealing with LWE and proposed that the Centre consider adopting its methods. "While the Narendra Modi-led government does not have any issues in implementing models of states that have done well but I assume that no state will like to implement the West Bengal model," he said.
