The Waqf (Amendment) Bill is expected to be introduced in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. Opposition parties, including Congress, NCP-SCP, Samajwadi Party, and Trinamool Congress, have demanded that the bill be sent to a Parliamentary committee for further scrutiny. The government plans to introduce the bill but will not push for its immediate passage.
