The Congress party has called for a comprehensive policy to address the rapid expansion of coaching institutes in India. General Secretary Jairam Ramesh highlighted a significant increase in GST collections from these institutes, rising from Rs 2,241 crore in 2019 to Rs 5,517 crore in 2024, indicating a growing market valued at about Rs 30,653 crore annually.
