Bibhav Kumar had moved the Supreme Court with a plea on July 19 challenging the Delhi High Court's decision to not grant him a bail in the case. His plea was registered on July 24, and the case was listed for hearing on August 1, according to the Apex court's website. AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal had accused Kumar of physically assaulting her, and filed a complaint with the Civil Lines police station in Delhi on May 16.
