Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu lightened the state assembly mood by asking MLAs who faced cases under the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government to stand. About 80% complied, including Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Naidu criticized the YSRCP for using police to harass opposition and vowed a zero-tolerance approach to crime and illegal cases.
