Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of engaging in "petty politics" on Kargil Vijay Diwas. Kharge claimed that the government forced the Agnipath scheme on the armed forces, citing a statement from former army chief General MM Naravane. He emphasized that Agniveers do not receive the same benefits as regular personnel, urging the scheme to be scrapped.
