By Economic Times - 4 months ago
Assam Chief Minister Himant Biswa Sarma has claimed that the Muslim population in his state has risen to 40%, a "big issue" in the northeastern state. He cited the rising number of Bangladeshi infiltrators in tribal areas of Jharkhand as a matter of life and death. Sarma also accused Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren of turning Jharkhand into a "mini-Bangladesh" and alleged that no development took place during the JMM-led alliance government.
