Mohinder Bhagat won the Jalandhar West assembly seat by over 37,000 votes, defeating BJP nominee Sheetal Angural. The bypoll was held after Angural's resignation as AAP legislator. The election took place at Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women in Chandigarh.
