Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for dwelling on the past 50 years after the Emergency instead of focusing on the future. This came as a response to the Centre's decision to observe June 25 as Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas. He linked the current situation to the Emergency era under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure, citing abuse of power, jailing of opponents, rising corruption, and China's incursion.
