Several Congress MLAs in Maharashtra cross voted during MLC polls, causing the defeat of an MVA-supported candidate. Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole claimed the MLAs fell into a 'trap' set by the party. This is the second incident of cross voting in the state, raising concerns within the party leadership.
